Our Story
BRF Engineering traces its roots back to the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of Frederick (Bluey)Melville, who founded FA Melville in his backyard on Lane Street, Richmond, circa 1950. Shortly thereafter, he relocated the flourishing enterprise to Knight Street in Richmond, where it grew under his stewardship for decades.
Fred’s grandson, Mark, joined the company around 2001, beginning a familial tradition of dedication to craftsmanship and innovation. After years of working alongside Fred, Mark assumed leadership, purchasing the business from his grandfatherin 2005, thereby continuing the proud Melville legacy.
In 2008, BRF Engineering emerged as the successor to FA Melville, marking a new chapter in the company’s evolution. Under Mark’s guidance, the business transitioned to its current, larger location in Wingfield. Through Mark’s strategic vision and commitment to excellence, BRF Engineering has experienced steady growth, earning an outstanding reputation in the industry.
